Honestly the only celebrity I listen to is Dave Chapelle, or watch some George Carlin back in the day. Others can go F*** themselves
That's a bummer. A lot of them are cool
I always find it funny how some people make fun of me for worshipping god but whenever they see celeb they lose their shiet. I mean if I worshipped god like they worship celebs then damn.. I would be on cherubim level right now 😂😂😂
At least they're actually real
Celebrity worship is a reflection of personal insecurity.
Idol worship is all over the place
Fat chicks and lizzo
I thought it was George Lucas
THE MERCENARY HEAD CRUSHING BLOOD SPRAYING ACTION NOW ON AMAZON PRIME
Everything is competing with worshiping God wether it be ourselves the one true God or such society things
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Amen 💚
I somewhat worship Freddie Mercury or Led Zeppelin
All actors are hypocrites. They act like someone they are not.
It’s sad when you know more about a celebrity’s private life than your own.
I've always hated celebrities, every one of them, even Joe.
Celebrity worship is another of many sicknesses in America,
As a young person I can say Snapchat is a prime example of all of the behavioral trends discussed in this video. It’s a cesspool of many interesting aspects of culture and conformative behavior.
You'll never get the Jordan Peterson fanboys to admit this.
Word
Joe: People posting selfies wearing masks in their everyday covid lives are pushing an agenda.
Elon Musk’s cult should watch this lol 😂
Human beings were created for worship. We can't help ourselves. Its what we were designed to do.
celebrity worship is weird asf
Joe’s point of view made me laugh so hard😂 such a good explanation for celebrity worshiping
I thought this was George Lucas...anyone else??
I believe the celebrity worship is on its way out with the next generation. Celebs are already worried that people are more interested in other kids ok tiktok than them. Also I believe the pandemic and not a lot of movies coming out etc has shifted us to move away from those things. I realized watching professional sports and Hollywood are really nothing of concern in my own life and I actually don't need them at all. I hope that is the case for many others as well
CrossFit Jerry Garcia offers helpful insights here...
"All that he's done is pretend." This is fact.
We are all the apes in 2001 touching the monolith
I'm here because I recently spent alot of money buying songs and albums for some singers. I mean they are millionaires and I dont make much myself 😶 I caught myself and then looked up celebrity worship syndrome
Ive always thought its so creepy the way people scream when they see a celeb, imagine you did that to any other person on the street, youd be in a mental hospital 🤣
Dude needs to speak up and enunciate. Any time I have to try to listen I stop listening.
Joe describing Brad Pitt worship is hilarious, because he is describing his own cult of celebrity.😂🤣😂
That's what i was thinking. Joe would probably deny it but he has a cult like following of people that jump on any outsider that criticizes Joe.
I’ve been saying celebrity worship for many years.
So no more ROfree uploads of JRE that's ehh idk I have mixed feelings hopefully no ad breaks and ya better stay free mfers
While discussing the connections between religion, popular culture, and moral values, Joe’s guest says that “Pop culture is much more of an important teacher of ideas and values than, say, the local preacher. Because people are more swayed by it. It has more of an impact and resonance.” To which Joe replies “It’s a dangerous way to sway things, coming from someone who’s involved in distributing popular culture. Because there’s so little thought put into the actual impact.” As a man who wields his personal influence on his audience so carelessly, this could be one of the least self aware statements that Joe has ever made on his show.

people are stupid, dumb & lazy ... education or docu videos hardly get any views, that could open the sheeple's eyes, but UFC, NFL, NBA is much easier crap, goes with fast food
Very weird 🤣 topick celebrity religion get out I call lost culture idintanty.
the old studio was much better
I love how Joe Rogan breaks down and describes things.
I think it's a two way street - he actually has people on that respect the fact they're going to have a conversation, and neither is going to interrupt the other constantly if heaven forbid they disagree.
Celebrity worship and politician worship is gross
He rly talking to the celebrity god of the internet ab celebrity worship
HOW ABOT DONNY DUMP THE CONMAN AND FRAUDSTER FROM NYC HAAHAH
So he was about to explain why worshipping celebrities is like religion but Joe felt his thoughts were more valuable and had to explain his tribal theory and... the question was not answered. Damn, I hate it when I don’t hear the guest’s thoughts, he’s the interviewee.
Joe the goat
A mostly beneficial aspect of being an actor is the fact that they learn and experience life through different perspectives in the different roles that they play. Yes, they put on a mask and hide their true self. At the same time, learn compassion and can empathize with the positive or negative attributes of other beings, due to their own interpretation of experience. We are all actors in this game of life. How we behave is dependent on our environment and persona that we show others. Different personalities that we surround ourself with, create a unique experience in our life. We choose the roles that we play in others’ lives, whether it’s a positive experience or a negative experience. It all equates to wisdom of what it means to live in the human experience, depending on how you perceive it, what you learn from it, and the growth you gain.
I'm a non believer in Celebrity Worship
i only clicked because i thought it was george lucas
Humans naturally have to worship something or someone.
We live in a world filled with Kelly Kapoor (from The Office) type people. You ask how their life is going for them and they tell you about how they feel about the latest celebrity drama. 🤮
The religion of market fundamentalism --- where tax cuts are the panacea to all that ails society --- the gospel of capitalism is NEVER to be questioned because the market ALWAYS knows best. This is definitely a secular religion in politics.
Trumpism is a kind of secular religion where Trump is the infallible leader who isn't to be challenged, who is all knowing and requires constant worship and praise.
Famous people have always made me uncomfortable...best to just ignore them.

Joe 'Bizarre' Rogan
Am I the only one disappointed that wasn't George Lucas?
hollywood is a major propaganda hub and the actors, actresses, and musicians are ministers. they are paid to make you think in certain ways, to construct culture. "out of shadows" covers this accurately, "don jon" does a pretty good job too
Joe Rogan is a celebrity. Some people worship Joe Rogan.
Totalitarian?
So this guy admits he tries to turn everything into a religion. Seems more like a personal issue.
One upside to Covid is that it has seemingly started to render the celebrity much less relevant.
The thing that I don’t understand is when and why actors, athletes, and musicians etc all became worth so much money. From the 19th century to the 20th century its insane. To play music, or to play a game, or to play pretend you’re compensated with millions and millions of dollars. When did they become so important to everyday society ?
When the Celebrity was able to reach millions or even billions of people from radio TV movie concerts etc
As I watch my 27th JRE clip this week...
When you’re friends with the popular or cool person, you can open doors for you. I think somehow or another this is built into our genetics, I believe that’s why it feels good to be apart Of the “in” crowd.
Paul Stamets slightly less hippie brother
He’s subtly talking about Joe Rogan fan boys here.
The Hero myth has been around for millennia. From Pharaoh causing the rains to the great generals of Rome who wouldn't be caught dead near a battle field to the leaders of the American Revolution who took over a year to join the fight after it started we have always believed that there is some mythical person who will show us the way to truth, justice and all that other stuff. Maybe it is just who we are. It's not real though, people are people where ever you go.
Yea where do u get those spiritual juices ?
Joe is my GOD
I’ve noticed the similarities as a child lol
Love when people say they learn more from sinning along with sinners then learning from the Bible(from a preacher) That’s some high self esteem to believe you know what’s better for learning then these religions who have studied they’re beliefs for centuries
I really wanted to learn about this guys ideas and get his point of view but he really didn’t say anything...?
Team of writers... Like the Joe Rogan show...
Pop culture cults and religion occur because most humans cannot think independently on a scientific, logical, unemotional level. Most humans will simply and tragically drink whatever Kool-Aid they are given without thinking.
Kali Yuga.
Idol worship is a drug “if I could be like that” - wasn’t that a song? Envy purchase.. celebrity is a paid crush advantage a drink, a lucid dream, a lie.. worship an illuminati. Someone hiding the truth revealing only what they want you to see. A Facebook profile cult Hollywood with great drink mixes the eye at the top of the pyramid what people see. comedy, romance, sex, strength, drugs, crazy, rich, poor, dangerous, action. Build big names like stocks everyone purchase and idolatryize.
Can someone explain the mask thing as a profile pic on Twitter? I don’t know what Joe means
@shelby smith Ohh!! Lol! I though he meant a mask as in like a Halloween mask or a full fledged mask like V for Vendetta
I think he is saying people are weari g masks in profile pics to virtue signal so everyone can see how great they are. Why else wear a mask in a pic of you with nobody else around
3:05 what was he meaning when he said taking photos with their masks on ? I didn't quite understand that.
@shelby smith didn't really think from that perspective.
He is saying that if u are alone taking a profile pic and u wear a mask you are virtue signaling. You want everyone to see how good u are
Celebrity Worship = Bottom Feeders = $$$
I love how curious about religion and God Joe Rogaine is... One day Rogibear will be a believer, I just know it.
jc he will one day be brought to his knees and declare Jesus is God. One way or the other. Only joke is on him. It’s sad.
Rogibear 💕😂
This is bang on....a line in a Paul Simon song describes us as always throwing another Hero up the Pop Chart
“The neon god they made” in sound of silence
The cult of personality. Of course celebratory worship is a form of religious worship.
Joe's kiss at the end x'D
I'm not religious at at all. I only watch sports. I only watch sports.
Celebrity Worship Me:.......*cough* Trump *cough* Lol but seriously people like anointing others. Athletes, Actors, Businessmen, Politicians, Religious Leaders. People like having someone to look up to. We haven’t lost that social aspect to us that has been around since we were animals.
Lol Trump fits there like gloves
Every time Joe implies people wear masks in pictures as a statement i cringe.
@Lui Jesus ya im mot saying its bad to take a photo of u in a madk gor your profile im just saying i thonk there are motives nehind it in not all but q good chunk of what i see
@shelby smith no but most of my pictures are out in public you know. Doing things I feel are worthy for a picture. I know not everybody only takes pictures in public but definitely alot of people do. I just never even thought having a mask in a picture could even be seen as virtue signaling but Joe (and apparently others) seem SO SURE that people put these pictures up with some sort of hidden agenda (not ruling this out for some individuals) when its not the case. Imo of course
@Lui Jesus so when u are not in public u wear a mask? And idk how u can meet a lady wout flashing a smile in your profile but whatever works i guess
@Lui Jesus when it gets cold out and u see steam coming from your mask u think u will second guess its efficiency? I wear one if im in public like a store i dont wear one w friends or home or outside so i guess where i live its not so normal
@shelby smith actually yes we do disagree on that I think what I said goes hand n hand. Are we supposed to just not having any pictures until the pandemic is over? Are we supposed to remove our mask before we give a up to date profile pic. My profile pic on social media has a mask and honestly honestly. Feeling like I'm such a good person for wearing my mask NEVER crossed my mind. EVERYBODY HAS ONE ON at least where I'm from its just a normal thing to me
I thought he was interviewing Jerry Garcia for a second.
The life of this world is nothing, but the enjoyment of deception.
I have always idolized Might guy from naruto that's the kind of person I want to become humble, hardworking, caring and extremely hilarious
Oh, so a profile pic with a mask on is "saying something". The difference between "ideology" and religion is whether or not you are commanded to adhere to it by an all powerful being that you have never met or seen. So, it's actually that religion is not a special thing, and that peoples failure to understand that creates endless misunderstanding.
And pop culture and celebrities are not demanding u to wear a mask?
Well people do seem to worship trump, at the cost of their own common sense.
You should discuss BTS and k-pop man. It's eerie the way some women talk about them, like they're some kind of messianic figures. It's kind of the flowery and bubbly counter culture phenomenon to the way north korea treated their dictators in the past. They tend to believe everything these k-pop idols tell them and forget that they're also humans and might not be the angelic flawless figures they put up on display for the cameras.
What does it mean if you wear a mask in your Twitter profile?
Not saying its u but for the most part u alone in a profile photo w a mask you are sending out a message of what a hero u are and a good person.
Olivia Wilde is not a battle scared warrior.
Save the alpacas
Celebrity-false idols. Everything is biblical.
Makes me think of the occult symbolism you see with alot of these people, maybe some of them think theyre actually gods.
Anyone else miss their religious music festival experience this year? Oooooh Shambhala :(
Does one have a higher sense of self if one grows out all of one's hairy-ness?
Have you ever seen the old clips of people (women mostly) reacting to Elvis or Michael Jackson. There’s video of people passing out in hysteria in the concerts. Hard to process this bizarre phenomenon.
This brainwashing has been going on since the 20’s Edward Bernays Book on Propaganda! Our whole western society has been worked over to idolize Greed
